A rug is built one decision at a time.

Material, tension, pile, pattern, finishing. Craft is not one flourish at the end. It is the whole process.

01 — Material

Wool brings warmth and depth. Jute brings structure and a drier, natural texture.

02 — Design

The composition is resolved before the first line is woven, but the hand is allowed to remain visible.

03 — Weaving

Hand-knotting builds pile and softness. Handweaving builds a flatter, more graphic surface.

04 — Finishing

Edges, surface and proportions are checked so the piece feels considered from every side.

Evidence of the hand

The reverse is not packaging. It is the record of how the rug was made—the structure beneath the surface.

Soft underfoot, dimensional and naturally warm. Best when you want the rug to hold the room rather than simply sit inside it.

Flatter, firmer and visually grounded. A strong choice for texture without a deep pile.

Small shifts in line, tone and surface belong to handmade work. They are not defects to be engineered away.

The closer view

A restrained rug can still have depth. The interest comes from fibre, weave and the shadow each surface catches.
